Hey Folks,

I just wanted to update some exciting news. There has been some feature film Development in Barcelona Spain that I am involved in, cant say too many details just yet but here is my situation.

I am relocating to Barcelona Spain as of 27th of December for the winter and could possibly be extending my stay for a year. I am reaching out the european community
to extend myself and my services to you. I will be traveling with EPIC and I am armed with a surprise lens I have acquired...more on that soon!

I will also be announcing the new studio I will be working for soon. Besides shooting features and commercial work...part of my responsibility is to train crew so i am looking to network
in that regard and hope to hear from some pals on the other side of the pond. I dont know what kind of RED community exist in Catalonia but I know your out there.

My gal is coming down from paris to spend the new years there and that should be pretty wild, starting Jan 1st I will begin the proces of settling in Barcelona and please dont hesitate to reach out,
would love to meet some new people, drink some good wine, do some wild shoot outs (not in that order!). Barcelona is a lovely colorful city and I look forward to exploring it and
the catalan country.

I am very excited about what awaits for me, but to be very clear I am not abandoning my home turf by any means. I will return to NYC and LA for work but in the meantime I
got some spanish language skills to brush up on (and catalan for that matter).

I want to hit the ground running, so here is my latest EPIC demo and I will have a lot more work to post soon. Cheers and look forward to making the leap!

Barcelona's great. We were there in June for a month and totally fell in love with the place.

Hey Paul, yes it really is pretty incredible city...same thing happened to me. I was there this past summer and was hooked. I know the economic situation is quite rough there but the studio whom I am working for has plans to revitalize the film community in their region and create jobs. The studio plans I have seen are world class, will be the largest studios in europe...but thats down the road.

I will be shooting mostly on location when I arrive and thats what I find most inspiring.

also I was several times in Barcelona, like it very much and know city a bit especially old town Barri Gotic area (Gothic Quarter).

But I would be this summer again at neighboring Balearic island Ibiza,

old pirate and best summer party zone in the whole world.

Maybe see you there with your project...!!!???

Barcelona is my fav city, you'll love it, writing my own feature to shoot out there at the mo. Will probably pop there next year with my Epic so might stop by. Will most likely be working in Spain for 6-8 weeks early next year at The City Of Light Studios along the coast in Alicante if you fancy a trip along the coast.

We'll be in Barcelona shortly after our return from Dubai, unless we go strait to New Zealand, then wan't be in Spain till January/February.

But you also have to visit Italy while in Spain...

actually Ibiza as a must place to visit is made and established mainly by Americans at late 50s.

Also I like how Orson Welles talk about Ibiza at early 70s in his documentary F for Fake (1973 documentary).

Today are the best summer parties in overall Europe there in Ibiza.

Glad to hear it Jarek. Barcelona is quite special and the regions that surround are equally unique, specially the coast! its hard to prepare myself for such a big leap but I just keep moving onward and forward as we all do.

I recently learned I will be working in the UK, Paris, and Berlin as well so that expands my reach...see you cats soon.

Update....currently residing in the country about 45 min north of Barcleona. I can see the french pyrenees! My home predates the US by a couple hundred years. THis country is breathtaking. Its a shooters paradie, you have snow capped mountains about 45 minutes drive, and beach 20 minutes the other way.

I Am currently looking for a diesel car to pick up somewhere in Europe if anyone has a suggestions. Cheers. C

I've got a buddy (he's from SanDiego) who lives in Barcelona now. I'm planning on visiting him this year; probably in spring/summer.
But I'm trying to get my Scarlet X first, so I can tag it along to go out shooting with him.
Looking forward to being there, maybe we can get together then. I'm always keen on meeting new people, especially redusers!
