  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

bad sign?

Robert I see you are new to the forum, this type of article has been appearing since Jim set up Red, I wouldn't worry too much about it. This guy is trying to make the news. Not report it.
Something in the language he uses also makes me wonder whether he has some sort of grudge against Red

HDwarrior must have gotten to the show too late. The Epic was working until the battery died.

Oh crap. I've been duped into thinking I was shooting RED!
AND - apparently - I have some sort of engineering degree!

That's actually rather cool.

(They should possibly change their frontpage, though, even though I think it's kinda fun and symptomatic...)

Now this is a bad sign:

Sony are not far behind with their cinematography camcorder but both Japanese cameras share one massive difference between RED ONE, EPIC etc…YOU DON’T HAVE TO HAVE AN ENGINEERING DEGREE TO USE THE CAMCORDER.

Phew, lucky I have an engineering degree! You can't just pick up a 35 mm film camera and start using it either, they're professional tools which require specialist skills. Calling RED cameras 'Camcorders' is also pretty inaccurate.

doesn't matter how the article is written. having a sign saying "2009" during 2010 show, or battery dying is simply silly to me and utterly unprofessional. It's one of the industries biggest shows and such blunders are simply not a good form.

Guys don't discuss this idiotic fake web link. That fake ... piece of crap mock up page.:attention9ha:
