Sorry, could not refrain thinking of Jim's worries when shooting this last week-end... Epic is the one to the right. All will be well, two nice chicks soon to hatch, it will take the time it'll take and meanwhile, health first !

Jim,
Just a quick question. When you say epic-m's will be made available to epic-x customers, do you mean that stage 2 customers will be able to execute their camera numbers or do you just mean that epic-x customers will be given the option to also buy an epic-m outside of the programs?

Don't be so hard on yourself, the tragedy in japan is only stopping us from getting cameras as soon. It is effecting people in Japan much worse, so I'm not feeling bad for myself or angry at red at all. That'd be silly. I want an Epic-M though for sure!

IT's pretty obvious that you have the support of all of your customers and that's something that is earned. You can't buy it, you can't demand it and it doesn't come easy. I think that you should be extremely proud of what you've done and delivered to this market. It's truly groundbreaking and unfathomable. We're all looking forward to having the Epic in hand however there really are more important things in life, and we're all seeing that first hand.

Just a heads up chaps, Japan has reported a large aftershock. Early indications are that it won't cause another tsunami, not a major one at least. Hopefully they are just being cautious by moving away from the coast this time

I think you're doing an amazing job. I have been following your company for a few years and will be a customer one day. Thanks for being the innovator you are.

Jim, you are in good company. Walt Disney morgaged himself to the hilt and put it all on 'Snow White'. And look what came of that. Life is short. Go For It!

Just been thinking, it's going to be a lot of fun watching what all the other camera companies do now to innovate on their own as they shit themselves hoping they are going to compete with whatever RED do next. Camera technology and accessibility could become very interesting in the next lot of years.

Hi Jim,

I really feel everyone in the forum really understands the situation. Both the news at NAB and your posts really put my mind at ease. Any news is really good news.
RED really is changing things for film makers everywhere we are happy to wait a little more most of all because we know its comming and we know its going to be great when it gets here.

Make great cameras don't worry about the time with all this cutting edge stuff.

We eagerly keep waiting for the next amazing line of cameras you'll bring us in the near future.
