Is anyone using a photo backpack with the Scarlet? I'd like to get something to carry it with the LCD, a couple of batteries, and some prime lenses for when I am going out to shoot stills. What do you all recommend? Thanks. Alex

i just took my epic to Europe for vacation...epic with 5"touch, side handle, sigma 18-35, canon 24-105, samyang 85, 15" mbp retina, redvolts, redmag, and the usual other stuff....since i already use the smaller incase sling/backpack i went with this http://goincase.com/shop/incase-dslr-pro-slingpack and it is awesome....camera with lens attached goes in the top, the other lenses/...go in the bottom/front....i was hoping to get the redvolt XL attachment before i left (which obviously did not happen) it would have fit on the camera as well incl. battery....took this on hikes and for walking around in the city.....tough, elegant, and the sling back is great because you don't have to take it off to get the camera out....unfortunately the battery drain (even when off) requires to take the revolts out, etc...which is why i am really ready for the XL attachment....that way i will just leave it on and switch XL and volts when either is empty....
regardless, the bag is so great, i always have my epic in it now, ready to go....highly recommended...

Ok that seems interesting. I just wish on these types of websites they actually put a photo of someone using it to see how big comfortable it looks while you are wearing it.

well....loaded with a fully equipped red, lenses, mbp, accessories,....it obviously has a certain weight....and the single strap is not as ergonomically correct as a real two strap backpack...but it is very comfortable and the sling option is gold....i hate photo backpacks.....either you carry your camera anyway or you have to set up camp to shoot anything...
there are plenty of review of this case online with some pics as well....
i went with this one because i have the smaller one which is use for my smaller still cameras/ipad,...and my BMC:) which is why i started thinking about the bigger one for the epic....
all i can say is that it somehow looks smaller then the camera that comes out:) took it for a stroll on the beach with my kids on monday....just the camera 2 lenses and batteries...great....and both hands are free to make sand castles...

Tenba Roadie II. I use it for concert shoots when I have to keep my body, LCD, REDvolt + vmount batteries, v-mount plate, and a few Canon lenses around. Weight of all that is around 45lbs, which can be heavy, but it has a plethora of storage for other things.

I've been using the SlingShot 202 AW backpack with my Scarlet. It's pretty good, well made, but I would probably prefer having two normal straps over a sling. Slings are designed for quick access to DSLRs at an ergonomic cost and that's a little different to how you'll be building up a Scarlet to shoot. Double straps would be far more comfortable.

It'll fit a lens or two, the brain and LCD separated fairly easily in the main section, then you could put a prime or some REDVOLTS in the top (think I've gotten about four in there before) and the SSDs in the front little pocket.

+1 on the Cinebag pack. I had the original version since 2008 and just got the new camo one with rain bag. Hiked my Epic around Irish islands last summer. New one is even better. I keep my quick plate with rails in the computer slot and you can lash a monopod to the back as well.

I've been using a Kata 207 (I think the number is) and recently a Dakine Poucher backpack. The Kata is great and protective, but the Dakine is super light. I use the Dakine when I take my Epic out on remote locations in snowy mountains. It's great to move around with

I take it the bag is large enough for an epic/scarlet, side handle, screen and a couple of v-locks?

Laforet is using a petrol backpack. There's a some info on his blog about it.
For now I'm using a crumpler bag which isn't available anymore but which isn't awfully huge. Works fine for most smaller packages. So my insight won't be of much use, but it's very doable in general.

Yeah I have a Crumpler, shoulder bag at the moment that fits my Scarlet and V-locks. I was so happy when I found out it all fit.
Still thinking of an upgade though.

Thanks for all of the responses - this is very helpful. I think it may be the Cinebag option for me.
