  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

backlit tests...

We just wanted to give a few moods and styles to the same footage to see how the different tonalities would hold on the RED.

Again, very happy.

Holy Sh!t Obin! I usually don't chime in but I just now caught the footage...I've got to say it looks breathtaking. I love the opening shots and the flares....also love that last look. I too remember you on during the Reel Stream days and the dvinfo DIY camera projects forum all the back in '04. I was working with my brother (an electrical engineer with dsp background) to see if it would be possible to build my own camera back then. Thank God Jim came around before I had a chance to really waste any time with that!

Anyhow great work and I look forward to seeing some more of your footage.

Omar

omar, yes thank god for jim I can now focus on shooting instead of camera building..... So fantastic really

Great stuff. I loved it. Backlighting in natural light is the best. That's how Malick shot nearly the entire film The New World.

Any way to cut down on the flares, though? Were you using shades on a mattebox or anything?
