I have the NULL it's excellent.

It's part of a two-piece system, the NULL lens and the NULL target. The target threads onto the front for when you need to set your back focus and don't have a good subject in the distance to point it at. Like when you'r working in a van or camera prep room. The thought behind the two-piece system is to allow the user to have one target unit and then buy Null lenses in various mounts. Currently it's available in PL, but I'd love to see it in Mini-RED mount, Nikon, Canon, etc..

Boy ... I really second the Nikon mount idea. It would be valuable not only for the RED cameras, but also all of the DOP adapters out there.

However, I would love to see the Nikon null lens at a cheaper price point to the PL mount.

Optimator Nikon adapter

Optimator Nikon adapter

There is a Nikon adapter for the Optimator as it uses a neutral mounting system.

NULL Targets are shipping soon. NULL Lenses are available now. Nikon mount NULL Lenses are coming. I'm in Atlanta this weekend for the ICG Mega Digital event, showing off (among other things) the NULL Lens and the first production model NULL Target.

So now both Optitek and BandPro are double-teaming here on REDuser? Is BandPro planning to join as a sponsor?

Easy, tiger
We all know how much you love your little gadget, it's just not the only one out there ....

Yes Jacek, and you're a sponsor so I see no problem with you promoting your product. Let the clients choose what works best for them. But I do have a problem with someone effectively advertising without paying for it, especially considering that we do pay.

OK,
Band Pro has Optimators in stock now:
Additionally to flange checking you'll get:
1.Hi resolution reference pattern
2.Actual resolution number for reference
3.chip centering feature
4.chip tilt reference patterns
5.built in rechargeable batteries and on board charger.
6. Pure white LED backlight
7.Neutral mounting system so you can check flange on PL, Nikon, Canon, Panavision camera mounts
You can have all that now- no wait contact abtin.arbabi@Bandpro.com
The price on the Pro version is same or less (not more)than the above mentioned device with the target upgrade
various hardware and software coming-our goal is to expand via upgrade program to a comprehensive aquisition hardware/software test system.

Mitch, you're absolutely right, Abtin (and BandPro) need to clear this up. I see one of the other mods already got to them before me.

Jacek, you're a sponsor, that's great. But that does not cover BandPro just because they are promoting your product. They have been promoting other products on the forums too. All fine and good, but they need to play by the rules.
