Need to shoot some B roll footage for an upcoming documentary. Scarlet X will be the main camera and I was wondering if a BMPCC will
be a good match with the MX sensor. Did anyone tried matching the above cameras?
Looking forward hearing your thoughts!

What is the deliverable? 1080 for the web? Broadcast? Theatrical?

I have an MX and a BMPCC. A bit of a different look as BM color science is different. But depending on how you would use it in the documentary, it certainly has decent DR and good color. You do have to be aware that it is prone to moire, especially in RAW. But, for under $1k hard to find anything else with those specs. and it's small, so can go on a gimbal, smaller sliders, just about anything. You may want to accessorize with a cage, monitor, and external audio (the internal audio is terrible). That will drive the price up. And, the internal batteries are just about useless for documentary. Get a JuiceBox and you'll run most of the day.

If you have the cash, I would get another Scarlet X or maybe even a GH5. Less work in post if you stick with Scarlets.

I've had luck pairing my Scarlet with m GH4, BMPCC, Canon MKII and of course DRAGONs :)

Across the board as far as final output.

So far so good.

Knock on wood :)

Can't say much for my recent coloring issues with a Sony F5/a7s II project I picked up :P

Yep, that's what I heard too, from a local colorist. CinemaDNG could be matched with Red footage. Hopefully it can be done with in a reasonable time frame.
Thanks for all your answers!
