I have never done one of these 48 Hour Films before and boy was it a test of endurance! We had a crew of 4. Exhausting but a fun test of how fast you can go and not lose your temper running on 2 hours of sleep :)
It was a fun break from doing work for clients!! We ran out of time doing the sound mix but I was proud what we pulled off over the weekend

And I think it is a testament that a crew of 4, shooting REDRAW can turnaround a video quickly. And how far the red ecosystem has come along. No Redrocket, just one PC workstation with Premiere and we were a-ok.

Best of luck Joe. Getting one of these completed is no small feat!
Thanks Bob. Yes! I worked with three guys that I do regular work with and on the 45th hour was the first time we started yelling at each other in our professional lives haha. I don't know if I'll do one again, but boy it was a test of endurance, and having a planned workflow. We had that ipad app with the slate synced with the filenames off of the camera so once we were done shooting we just dropped the circled takes from each scene in order. That was a key to having it done on time.
We hated it and didn't watch the final render until the next day. Then we were like 'eh not bad for 48 hours' haha

Um, yep! 48 hour film races definitely bring out the worst in people. That's why I don't do them anymore!

Yeah I've been there. Here's the one I did last year.

Very cool..dark comedy was a genre I was hoping for! Did you use your red for that?

Hah. Thats the last thing we all said when our crew broke off on sunday night... 'never doing one of these again'
