Now that things are settling down just a bit, I am starting to look at some of the EDL/XML to REDCINE-X .LUA work that has been posted here. And while I was successful creating an .lua file, running the script from within REDCINE-X comes up with clips that have an "x" and are offline. Anything I am missing here? I am using the AvidtoLUA xsl that was posted here.

Thanks -

Michael

my 2 cents...

my 2 cents...

I never had any success using the XSL myself, but I can say that both of Mikael Lubtchansky's scripts work great with Avid. My guess is that the XSL is dependent on the R3D's having not moved.

Using an XSL in my opinion is just adding an extra step. Mikael's scripts will take the Filmscribe XML and make a LUA script directly, and you link it up to the R3D's in any location, even if they've moved. Same goes for his EDL2RCX script.

EDL2RCX - http://reduser.net/forum/showthread.php?t=42154
XML2RCX - http://reduser.net/forum/showthread.php?t=42478

They work great, and he supports them well.
