Hey all, I've read around a bit but can't find the exact answers so here goes: Below is my current setup. I'm considering either buying a NEW sytems..likely MAC, OR, upgrading to MC4 with an Nvidea Quadro FX4800 card. Just want to be sure before I spend $1,300 on the Quadro that I'll be ok w/ a Red workflow in a year or so when I start editing. Otherwise I'm thinking of scrapping my sytem and just upgrading to a powerhouse Mac (but i'd prefer the first option of course!). Any advice appreciated.

Here's what I got:

2x - Dual Xeon PCIE Workstation - Avid Base
1 Hitachi Deskstar 250GB SATA150 7200rpm 8mb cache Drive
1 ViewSonic VG920 19" Silver/Black 1280x1024 Display
1 Windows XP
1 Avid MC4
2 Intel Xeon 3.2GHz 1M/800MHz FSB Processor
1 2GB Kit DDR2-400 ECC Registered RAM
1 NVIDIA Quadro FX540 PCIe Professional Video Card
1 FW-64 4.5 Meter 6-4pin FireWire/1394 Cable
1 Universal AV Cable Kit for DV/DVCAM Decks
