AVID DV25 Anamorphic Question re. framelines

I am trying to get footage shot in camera at 4K 2:1 with 16:9 framelines into AVID DV25 dailies, anamorphic, NOT letterbox. I know how to do this from a codec (technical) point of view, but am having trouble getting my 16:9 rack leader to display correctly in AVID.

The problem seems to be the step in red rushes when i choose 'stretch' instead of 'fit height' in the resize pane. i am making 640 X 480 DNxHD clips for import into my AVID DV25 project. When shooting 4K 16:9 full gate, this is not an issue, but when shooting 2:1 the entire 2:1 frame is being exported and stretched by red rushes.

Anyone have a solution?? thanks.....

You have to have some kind of letterbox if going from a 2:1 aspect ratio to 4:3 - there is even letterboxing when going to 16:9. So are you looking for a fit height in 16:9 cropping off ther side, then wanted that as 16:9 anamorphic in SD?
