I'm not seeing it?
Is RED not offering this particular codec as an option? Or are we waiting on Avid or am I missing something.
thanks,
Michael

59.94

Should be part of the libraries - something RED needs to look into to make sure they are addressing it in the UI.

Anyone at Red care to comment? This is a big issue for me right now... it's the difference between this company going with Red and not.
Is it possible to output the above Avid codec from RocketCineX or RedCineX ?
thank you,
Michael

What frame rate are you looking for, 59.94? I looked in REDCINE-X and they all seem to be there. 59.94 is an interlace format at this time for 1080, and is progressive for 720.

I haven't looked into this in months but it hasn't worked well. Basically, all bandwidth settings were exporting media the same way and it wasn't to Media Composer's liking when it comes to fast import.

Igor, that was the case with REDCINE - it is potentially a different issue with REDCINE-X.

We're shooting 23.98 and post wants to cut in 29.97 / 59.94.

We're shooting 23.98 because we like the look. The production company wants to cut in 29.97 /59.94 because that's what they know and are comfortable with... furthermore they're working on old avids with antiquated perspectives on post workflows.
it's the worst.

None of the tools put in a 2:3 pulldown during the transcode process. I can yell you that they would be much more confortable with the worlflow if they edited at native rate of 23.976. Try the 30 day full funcitioning free trial of Media Composer to help them in that process...
