Hi !

I have a problem with my rushes made out of redrushes. I checked avid compatible audio, but Avid MC 2.8 is giving a error message, which we have to acknowledge at every clip on import. I also tried to deactivate the audio track with an automator script. The QT wrapped DNxHD files are now silent but avid see the audio track....
From Wednesday on I will do all the rushes with the Rocket.... is there possible to export with right audio settings? We dont need the audio track in the avid, we record only it for our rushes, because we dont want to wait till they come from the edit room.

Second question regarding red rocket is, coming the avid DNxHD files all ok out of it?

thx

What is the error message you are getting?

I use Red Rushes quite often using DNXHD codecs to then bring in to Avid, but normally the audio just imports on its own. There are no special settings to change within the Rushes software.

The Rocket should work fine for you. If it only had burn in I would use it for all of my Rushes!

Cheers,

RedRushes "avid compatible audio" was for earlier avid systems that only support one type of audio. The later versions should support both AFAIK.

kk.... currently they are ingesting on MC 2.8, but we are upgrading to version 4 tomorrow... think that will fix it...

@deanan.... its something false audio format, dont know exactly, because i'm 200km away from the edit room. But i think after upgrading to version 4 Mediacomposer it should work fine....

Burn Ins are a must for a cinema workflow.... Deanan, is there any chance to get them on the rocket.... I need to start a second production coming wednesday.... without burn ins, I must do the offline conversion with redrushes, and i need speed with two big productions..... Is there any chance to get the burn in function working ????

thx

Rainer

The audio issue was basically 24bits in 32bits or 24 in 24. FCP wants 24 in 32 and avid wanted 24 in 24 (later they added 24 in 32 also).

Burnins are already in the internal rocketcine for testing. The major issue was resolved and we're just cleaning up some smaller bugs now and getting it ready for release.

Thats great to hear Deanan.... would you think it will be ready for release this coming days???

thx

MC v3.2 and later support both audio types from REDrushes.

avid _h

avid _h

i never use avid but i have a client who ask for dnxhd, i give the ale files but they need to point one by one because the ale came with an _h at the end and the wrapped QT dont have it. audio is fine.

thanks in advance

Open the ALE in any basic text editor and do a "remove _h" and import.
