  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

I bet they wish they were watching as closely back in december 2005, or better yet that they took you more seriously.

Still I think some of them don´t understand what is going on.
 
OK! have to admit lm on here a few times a day if editing or around not shooting or editing, just awaiting for the release date and cost of Scarlet x 8 and Epic S. Just want to play with my new camera Jim :)
 
Rarely a day, often an hour goes by that I'm not checking. Been that way a couple of years now!
 
where are the a-list DP's and Director's? where do they hang out online? or don't they...

Industrial espionage had never been this easy before. And then you guys stopped broadcasting your every move in advance. I'm sure teeth were gnashing all over the place when that happened.
 
'Til they figure out their own proprietary Redcode (and find a way to beat it), offer free color timing software like RC-X, put 5K at 120 frames in little more than a soup can, and offer it affordably, ya got nuthin' to worry about as far as competition.

Jim I think your competitors have secretly dubbed the Epic, the Envy... :-)
I'd love to see how said "competitors" fare once Epic goes into production.(Jim you are doing them a favor by elevating them to RED's level but I am sure you are doing it in the interest of fair play)

EDIT: oh, and thanks for staying up at night!
 
And lets not forget that it usually happens interesting stuff in Recon on weekends! Love it!!

Same here. Especially since I'm on the East Coast of the US and always fall asleep before Jim starts posting. By the time I see his post the thread is already 20 pages long....

I just really appreciate the total uniqueness of Jim and the RED team. A company, a philosophy, a product that pushes the envelope and encourages all of us to do the same. Bravo and thanks.
