This is a very low budget music video shot a few weeks ago with the RED MX. Mostly llt with available light and a Cool Lights 1200 for some interiors.

Don't be harsh with the critique. The camera crew was only 2 people (including me)!

:D

Well done from a work point of view.

From another point of view, I wonder what are your Greek citizens thinking of all these beautiful people with their beautiful cars, boats, sunglasses... So, it's not the crisis for everyone in Greece ?

;-)

Thanks!

Well, I am a Greek citizen and my Greek citizen friends helped (and had fun) in making this video so I guess it's OK with them. :P

Don't believe everything you see and hear in the news media about Greece. The crisis is affecting us as much (or even less) as it is affecting other countries. For example, I know for a fact that things are much worst in Italy but somehow Greece became the centre of attention. Why that is... I don't know. We are attention whores!

:D

Thanks Miltos for your opinion. You know, here, in France, we are so proud to give lessons to others that hearing other voices is a salute.

Very nice, how much of color grading ?

Well, it was shot from morning to evening so there was a lot of variation that needed to even out. First correction was made in RC-X and then a warm look of my own recipe was added in Fusion 6 along some additional selective fixes.

I am not very pleased with the color in every shot but I didn't have enough time to perfect everything.

:)

This is very nice piece, it is always easy to be yourself up about little things, but when you step back it is just a beautifully shot piece of story telling.

Thanks, that comment meant a lot to me! I must have done some things right then! :)

I just wish I had some more time, a budget and a full crew for this one. I didn't even manage to shoot everything I planed for and that really depressed me but I guess that's only for me to know. ;D

Great stuff man, love your eye and like others already said, the story is well told! Nice work :) But I gotta say.....Ferrari's, Models, Boats, Club houses......that's not my idea of very low budget ;)

I am pleasantly surprised by your feedback guys!

There are so many things I didn't have the time/money to do with this video that I wasn't sure if I should post it here.

The Ferrari was brought for free (for 3 hours). They only wanted a credit title in the video. Same deal for the location. The models/actors volunteered because they liked the story. The budget for everything reached $3351 and the most expensive element in it believe it or not was the fuel for that damn speedboat! I considered the video as a personal project so I didn't charge director's fee, RED-MX rental or the post production. :D

There are so many funny stories from that shooting! The first few hours we couldn't even mount the camera on a tripod because my friend who lent me his tripod forgot to bring the head's top plate (it was attached to his RED, LoL!) so he had to go back to his house and get it! :D

Anyway, I learned a good lesson from this project. No matter how optimistic and well prepared you are, there are certain things that you can't do without a crew and a budget.

I've made the same mistake (forgetting the tripod plate on the camera...).

GREAT video. Every shot really looked beautiful! I'm very impressed, especially considering the limitations you said you had with budget/crew.

Also loved seeing the Ski Nautique at the end, I've got one very similar in my garage at home, I LOOOOVE Correct Craft boats.

Like the video a lot.. Looked very well planned and actors were good.. That gave a boost to the video. Liked the villian :)
Very well done. Bravo ! I think you gave much more value to the project that the few thousand dollars you spent. Red helped in there too to produce the filmic quality.

What lenses did you use if I may ask. There is a particular shot of the blonde singer with the sun behind her which is wonderful. It flares a little. True MTV style. Love it.

LoL! Thanks! I will let him know! :D

RED-MX's dynamic range definitely saved some shots. :D

I only used the two old RED ZOOMS. The RED ZOOM 18-50 and the RED ZOOM 50-150.

Miltos, goo job! I’m going to send the link to a couple of my friends. I enjoyed it!
