Hi

I remember I saw something doing this a while ago, but cannot find the link. Any ideas? As most of us PAL people know by now, 25 fps dpx projects are not a good idea in Color...

Thanks.

What I am looking for is an automator script that uses this tool to wrap the content of... let's say 2000 "event" folders automatically. :)

I've made one for in house work, but the DPXtoQT translator is very, very touchy. It's basically unusable for multiple folders without some serious babysitting and file checking. Worse yet, when you do process multiple folders, you'll see the QT files created and everything looks fine until you check the files themselves and find most of them to be incomplete.

Basically the program doesn't like it when you try and process more than one sequence at a time. You can't just select the root directory and let it go, you have to run a separate instance of DPXtoQT for each folder to get a clean result. When we do use the script, we effectively have to run it inside each folder independently, eyeball it, wait for it to finish, double check the file, rinse, repeat. It's barely tolerable on short 2-4 minute music videos with 100ish cuts, anything more would be insane.

We're giving GlueTools a run now, and it seems to be more than worth it so far...I'd suggest giving that a look. It even runs within compressor (with full qmaster network support) so it should be pretty easy to queue up a large group of shots.

I have and love gluetools. Problem is that color does not work with 25 fps dpx sequences.

frames start to drop and they will never come back. Funny enough color looks cool until render.
