Autofocus on a dolly in?

Hi all. . .

We own a DSMC1 Scarlet Dragon, and I'm curious if anyone has had any success using the autofocus system to dolly in on an actor in the course of a single shot. I'm using the Sigma Art f1.8 18-35 lens.

If you HAVE had success with this, what menu settings did you use?

Bad move. Set an in and out point on the camera for focus with the push of a button. Or focus pull properly.
