Auto Focus Out

Hey guys,

I'm experiencing a slight discrepancy with the Auto Focus on my EPIC-X using the Canon 24-105mm lens.

It does its usual back and forth until it's 'happy' but when I then hit magnify to see just how crisp the sharp is - it's a little bit out and I have to use manual to get it bang on.

Could this be an issue with the back focus?

Not an issue with back-focus - almost certainly an issue with your lens. 24-105 is far from stellar - many bad copies were sold and even the best ones were so-so.

Hey Rob. Thanks for the reply. I bought my 24-105 from Canon.

I am gonna test this with my 24-105 (which I find is a really nice lens) and see what happens. I'll get back to you!

The Canon 24-105 has severe quality control issues, even more than early days of the 24-70L. Sometimes with Canon Ls you can get unlucky and get a pretty iffy copy.
