I shot film, and recorded sound on field recorder, but was simultaneously recording to RED a draft quality mixdown. Then I edited a lot of material with proxy files and the sound that came from the camera. How can now I reconform the sound from the good quality audio? I understand that on each take I need to sync the slate, in the edit I have used the same take several times, do i have to go into each of them and sync the slate or is there (hope) an easy way to sync each shot one and have it appear in the edit?

Please help :)

You don't mention which NLE you are using. Also, is there at least jam synced timecode between filed recorder and the RED camera?

Sounds like you are in for some manual syncing or using a program like PluralEyes to provide sync from your video with proxy audio to the real audio files.

PluralEyes looks great , but i use slate , and i can sync every take with slate .

But ....

Ok i have take A001_C001 that i edit of Scene 10 times . Also i have A001_C002 that i use 5 times .

I am getting this file from BIN , bringing it to time line , sync with new sound . Then bringing file with new sound back to BIN (new bin )
What did i need to do next ? how to replace this file on time line ?????

Thanks.

The only hope you really have in that case is if you edited with nested sequences instead of the clips themselves. If you did that you could go back to the original sequence, synch the audio on the clips you've used and have it just be there in your edit. I'm not really sure how that would complicate your color grading workflow though.

This is why I'm now looking at Time Code capable recorders... RCX makes it so easy to match audio when you have TC. One of my first projects was done like your's and the above mentioned Nested Sequences is probably the only way to fix this while retaining sanity.
