Does anyone know of a way to eliminate breath pops in AE? I have had very little luck with the parametric eq.

Phil, I generally handle plosives in an audio app something like ProTools rather than AE.

I agree with David above. I don't think any video editing program is a good choice for doing audio processing, especially minimizing breath pops. I think there are plug-ins to Pro Tools that can help, and I also think iZotope RX3 is also very good. Sometimes, the key to minimizing breath pops is just a quick volume-automation duck on the hard consonant, and maybe a (brief) high-pass filter. But even those can only do so much.

In a perfect world, I'd say go and re-record the dialogue or narration with great mic technique and a physical pop filter on the mic -- even record on two microphones if at all possible and choose the one that sounds best, each set at different distances -- but that requires having a good sound recordist on the crew. Getting it right the first time will always sound better than trying to fix it in post.
