Hi,

I have footage that is manually synced in REDCINE-X but when the footage is exported the audio is out of sync.
The export is Apple ProRes 422, same frame rate.

What could cause this?

Hi T.A.,

Is it completely out of sync, or does it just drift over time? Are you seeing this issue in previous builds of RCX? What build of RCX are you using?

Thanks,
David

Hi David,

the audio is completely out of sync. I can't recall having any issues in previous version of REDCINE-X. The version that I'm working on at the moment is Build 20.1.30256

Thanks for your help.

Check that your R3D files are 23.976 and use wave agent and confirm your sound was recorded at 23.976, if the sound was recorded at 29.98 then reconform it to 23.976 with wave agent, and resync.

Shiblon thanks for your input. The recorded frame rate for the R3D is 25fps and the Audio TC Frequency is 48000.
When you say wave agent, do you mean the audio tab at the bottom between markers and export?

After the 20.2.30687 update REDCCINE-X is doing it gain where the audio is not in sync. But this time saving them to the correct frame rate with Wave Agent does not fix the problem. :(

Any other tips?

Hey

I'm struggling with the same issue.
Its out of sync every time. No matter what codec, framerate or so on.

And ther is another thing:
My original audo files contain 2 mono channels but after exporting, it's always 1 stereo channel.
Can you guys tell me how to change that? Tried all the settings...

I'm also still have the same issue with the recent REDCINE-X and having Wave Agent confirming the files.
Any fix for this? I guess I will have to jump into a NLE to sync and export. :(

also having this (or similar?) audio is out if sync between 7 and 11 frames ( once even 400 frames) on a 25 project. sound is recorded with correct 25 framerate too.

on build 20

going back to build 17.5 the same file works flawlessly again.

a fix is very much appreciated!

what is also sad in the export dialog of build 20 is that in the audio tab there is no distinction between camera audio and external audio again.
