This is a cross post from the Avid section; I have been working with an editor to trying to roundtrip a sequence out of Avid, but haven't had much luck. We transcoded to DNxHD 36 using the AAF/MXF export in Redcine. The editor then synced audio and cut together a quick sequence, and we are now trying to send it back to Redcine to relink to the original files and export our deliverables.

My question, is it possible to get audio in Redcine via an EDL from Avid, and using what settings? I have all the original R3Ds as well as BWFs. We have tried a few different methods, but so far have no succeeded in getting audio, only video. Thanks for any help!

I'll pick up the convresation from here. Why do you feel the need to do the audio in Redcine X? A video only EDL shoudl work fine in Redcine X, and you can export out of Media Comoser an embedded AAF with audio, or an EDL/AAF that points to the original BWF files that you hand over to post. Or do you have another definition of deliverables specific to a worfklow.
