I share Jim's view of Canon. The amount of money I have spent on Canon and Sony F3 products was right at the time for the wrong equipment. I have shot Red since 2008 and this year I shot a series on the Epic. I am hooked and have Scarlet on order. I have never experienced any exposure and sharpness problems and I have never lost any data. I am hooked on Red and happy that the Scarlet has arrived.
