  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Attitude adjustment...

Will the guys in europe be hitting the ground running tomorrow AM, or is there work to do for them before they are ready for us? I have what I'd call an urgent query :)

As ready as they'll ever be. Let them at least check their emails for 15 min before calling :)

Boring details...

Obviously, tonight is going to flood BOMB SQUAD reps' phones and inboxes. As Jim said in original post, expect delayed response and processing times for the very near future. We'll keep the troops here for another couple of hours tonight and then be back at it in AM (ie, resume normal hours of operation).

Thus why I commended Bryan Wilcox.

He called me personally when he received the email of my BT Scarlet cancellation.

That is why I love RED!!

I cant wait to be part of this amazing community ;)

Scarlet-X (Canon AL) owners who bought before the price rise in January 2012 paid $9,750. That included the Side SSD module and the Canon AL Mount. At todays announced price that same camera comes to $10,150. Prices are back to $400 over the Nov 3, 2011 release price. Still a great deal for everyone, (especially the BT Scarlet buyers!) Epic is just so much closer in reach now!

Thanks RED!

Just came to the same conclusion as a pre January buyer. :)

I wonder if the RED Rocket card is getting easier to make, that'd be sweet!

I was going to mention this. I was going to be happy with my purchase whatever prices were announced as I was at the November event and love my camera, but this just shows how good of a deal this is for nearly everyone involved. And yes dangit, I want an Epic now as well...

Im too lazy to check but is it just camera bodies that are updated?

Im still shopping and would love a big break :)

Quick question:

I know that the upgrade path from Scarlet to Epic isn't quite confirmed just yet, but...

There will now be (at least) 4 categories of Scarlet owners.

1. November 3rd
2. Pre-price change Owners
3. BT (pre-price change) Owners
4. Post-Price Change Owners

It's likely too soon to say -- but...

Question: Will the upgrade path be consistent from 1 through 3?

The reason I ask is because if the BT owners share the same (what I assume) costlier upgrade path as #4, then it would sort of affect the value of the #3s.

It's a REALLY GREAT deal if it's 1-3/4, it's a GREAT deal if it's 1-2/3-4.

So, either way, great.

Phil
