What are your thoughts?

Please anyone who has experience with both brands, share any information, thanks.

I ordered the Atlas Orion B-set like 3 months ago, so I will be expecting them in 4-5 months.
Still cant find a comparison between the 2 brands.

i have contacted Xelmus and they told me that Xelmus will have one demo set in Canada soon. lets see if that happens

Does anyone know, if the Atlas Orions have a "anti-mump" function? I could not find info about this.

Atlas Orion Lenses do not have Mumps - we use a significantly different optical design which avoids the Mumps paradigm.

We maintain an even anamorphic coefficient at all focus distances - we just believe this is something that is a general pre-requisite for any modern anamorphic lens design and so do not specifically advertise it.

Happy Holidays!

"anti-mump" function is the design of the Atlas. they use Front Diopter in the same way like Lomo Round fornts or many other lenses. This sort of lens design allows anamoprphic lens to stay fix at Infinity and diopter is the one that focuses the image. that's why there is no mump , simply Anamorpic part of the lens is always fixed at it maximum stretch factor.

Thanks for the replies :) I am still waiting for the Atlas, but I guess the pre-orders are slowed down by covid.

Anyway, does anyone currently have some comparison between Atlas and Xelmus ?

Almost a year later any updates to these compared to the Atlas and possibly Vazen?
Been looking for a decent value anamorphic lens of late.
