Over the last years I´ve been using a Canon 5DMII (Apple ProRes/FCP7) for my art films.
I do A LOT OF composite/filters/layers/grading, etc; until the image starts to show deterioration. I meant a LOT of Manipulation. My film aren´t about reality. One cannot say what was the original footage when the film is finished.
I trust that it shows degradation in a certain point (and I stop there) because of the huge manipulation BUT also because of the compressed starting point as my "raw" footage (h.264).
My waiting agony is now over with the Scarlet? Will I be able to "abuse" a bit more with a real RAW material as a starting point, like the the RAW footage from the Scarlet?
I use to think that now I can manipulate even more my footage, as I do with my RAW stills. Am I wrong?
Thanks a lot for your opinions.
