  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Aspect Ratios for 4.5K on Epic

Has anyone shot 4.5K on the epic using aspects ratios other than 2.4:1? Like 1.85:1.
 
I'm not sure if you can actually shoot 1.85:1 in camera (you will be able to with the new Dragon firmware) but it would be trivial to set up guides for most other aspects and crop (and reframe slightly) in post and yes, people do this all the time.
 
upgrade your firmware first to 4.0.18 then choose 1:85:1
 
Sounds interesting... Just to confirm, u r saying a firm upgrade on the epic will allow me to select a 1.85:1 aspect ratio at 4.5K?
