[Andrew Timlin]

Have a look at: http://www.asbroadcast.com/

These guys are making a great looking matte box that is very affordable... and it's getting great reviews.

Check it out!

You may want to post this in another thread Andrew.. See people in here are focused on ARRI matteboxes.. And yours is.... well..... not.

OK, I moved this into its own thread...

...I took a look.

The standard attachment is 105mm, filter stages are 4x4. It's a pretty shallow mattebox, kinda small too. Won't work with RED lenses and many other cine-options. Might be a good solution for those using SLR lenses, 16mm or smaller primes.

Pre-order is only good for customers in Hong Kong right now. IMO, for the $600USD price range, I'm much more interested in the RedRock.

I understand that they have a new model coming out that will accept 4 x 5.65 filters, and a 138mm round. That plus 19mm rail support.

They also have a compatible follow-focus rig in development...

All things considered, it seems worth watching.

The current model shouldn't even be considered for a Red Camera regardless of how cheap it is. As Jeff stated the RedRock is a much better fit if you ae on a budget, but neither can compare with the Arri.
