I have happily used Artemis Viewfinder for the last cpl years but am really bummed they have not updated it with the Dragon Sensor. What gives? This is a $30 app!

Unfortunately, the authors don't seem to support their apps very well. It has been years since both Artemis and Toland have been updated. It's a real bummer too, 'cause I love Toland, but the app is super buggy and doesn't include many current, common sensor sizes.

I emailed them about it but even people ask they will do it. Artemis email is wotcha@chemicalwedding.tv

I already did about two weeks ago, seems not to be that far away, here´s what came back:

I’ve been working on an update (much overdue). We’ve been battling with issues on iOS8 and that has distracted us a little.

Should have it out soon.

I emailed them two weeks ago as well, they suggested me to use the wizard. I created a Dragon camera profile in the Wizard and emailed them this profile.
You can try these settings for 16:9 aspect ratio:
Squeeze:1.0
Lens 35
Chip 24.959999W, 12.480000 H

I'm not familiar with the Artemis VF app, but the numbers you have here don't represent Dragon, nor do they represent a 16:9 ratio. Dragon's sensor is 30.72mm wide, 15.8mm high. Maximum 16:9 size is 5616x3160 or 28.04mm wide. Your chip height is representative of the M/MX sensor when used on the RED One and 16:9 aspect for that chip height would be 22.18mm wide.

...Not sure I understand VF apps on these phones. The cameras can't represent AOV's for many of the wider focal lengths since they're usually quite restricted themselves in terms of maximum AOV.

Sorry if I'm being obtuse and I'm missing something here, but the numbers just jumped out at me as being weird.

I've just compared my Dragon profile to the original Red Epic-X profile in the Artemis, they actually look the same, how could I make this mistake, I have no idea. Now I wonder, did I really shoot on a Dragon that day? hahaha
