ARRI WCU 3 ‘White Antenna’ Wireless Follow Focus and Cforce Mini Motor set for Alexa mini or Amira
Letting go of our ‘gimbal/lightweight’ wireless kit for use with the Alexa mini/amira/lbus cameras. Can control Alexa/amira cameras out of the box, gives LDS, shutter angle, start/stop, kelvin, film speed, run time, voltage, etc on a remote. Lbus cforce motor doesn’t need a receiver, as that’s built into the camera. A really awesome gimbal setup or lightweight setup. Can purchase an AMC to make it compatible with all cameras.
A deep discount on this—the white antenna upgrade alone was over $2k! Can’t sell it for nearly what we bought it for, as the WCU4 has superseded the WCU3, but as this gives 99% of the functionality without spending $14k, I think it’s a reasonable price, hopefully! Less expensive than a cforce mini motor and sxu-1 but with added functionality (menus, cam info, etc.).
We added a little CNC’d plate to give more mounting options, as well as a little 15mm rod clamp, so as to make it easier to mount on a director’s cage (we use the wooden camera v2). One note: if the calibration fails on the motor (because it’s not tight enough), you have to restart the wcu3 as it makes it weird. Restarting it takes about 6 seconds, tho.
Located in NYC if anyone wants to try it out, looking for $6k obo. Will ship, but that would be covered by you.
The kit includes:

— cforce mini motor with .8 gear and 15mm/19mm clamp ($2700 by itself!)
— LBUS cable 18”
— 4x batteries (pretty new) and charger
— AC adapter (why you’d need it, don’t know, but nice to have a backup power solution)
