  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Hey guys has anyone used these fancy sky panels for a fire and or lighting strike effect. To be used in quite a contained set.
 
I recently heard about these sky panels....they definitely seem intriguing for sure. A gaffer I spoke with who has one says it's between a 1.2K HMI and M18 in terms of output...and it's fully dim-able and color tunable. Eager to test these out for sure!
 
We used the 60s (2 units) and the 30s on set extensively and all I can say these is these rock!!! I love the control you have with these lights. Put a 60s through a 6x6 full grid and you get some amazingly soft key light. I am not sure if I would say they are close to our M18 but they are very bright and versatile. Definitely consider bringing them on your next job.
