Why do you guys think arri gets to sell these used sensors and red doesn't do the same? im just curious, would love if red did this too!

RED does the same by "certifying" for a charge of $750, without the hassle of buying back or holding on to old cameras. So basically they insure that the camera is functioning correctly with a limited warranty and take their commission on it.

too bad those prices arent in dollars, seems high for what ive seen on the used market when in euros.
though it's nice to have the arri certification, are they warrantied?

Yes these arris are warrantied and yes both arri and red inspect old cameras and warranty them for a year. But red tends to not sell used one much and if so they are hardly used unlike these arris i saw with 4,000 hours on them. Cuz red must be sitting on thousands of old gen sensors? I've tried suggesting donating them to film schools in the past

Any older camera is suitable for continued use so long as you have accessories (batteries, cables, flux capacitors, etc) and media to support it. If you don't have both of those going for you, it's not of any use. I don't know what RED's thoughts are regarding any used cameras beyond the ONE, but I think that the ONE is still a beautiful and wonderous camera that has it's uses, if you have the accessories and a large supply of media for it.
