  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

ARRI Mattebox Group Buy! Again!

i'm in too, is this open to UK buyers? if so can we collectr out matte boxes from Arri UK?
 
I am very interested in this Group Buy. I am going to Peru by mid June, will this buy happen before that date? Also has anyone had experience with the MB20 II with nikon lens? I will list the lens i have below and you guys can tell me if they will work, i am assuming they will, but i don;t know, nothing a little gaff tape can't fix right? Also is a follow focus included in the package?

Try rplens.com I bought my lenses there. With the modification he makes its easy to fit these lenses into standard FF units and Matteboxes.

The discount seems to be running around $1,000 off.

Now if you are thinking about an MB-28 that's cool. Hopefully a lot of you went by the ARRI booth and saw the differences, what is has, and what it does NOT have (It is NOT the same as the MB-20 only larger.. It's missing some features to save on weight and cost).

Know this, while I do not have EXACT numbers, we're guessing the MB-28 will be around $2,000 more.

This package is based on what the majority of RED owners have been getting over the last year or so.

For those of you wondering, this group buy is a little better than the last one due to the difference in exchange rates this time around.

I would jump all over it if I wasn't already shooting my wad buying the RPP's and a few other things.
 
Excuse my ignorance guys, but why would you pay 4.5 times more for an Arri brand mattebox over a RedRock micro. Your education is appreciated.

One answer would be this: 6 years from now you will still be using the ARRI, and when you sell it you will get a lot of what you paid back.

ARRI equipment is not only first rate, but a good investment.

What about a follow focus to go with the MB-20 II ?. Can you get a group buy on that or can you suggest an alternative. Thanks for your time.
 
The current Group Buy is for the MB20-II package as listed only. If you wish extra items for the mattebox we will try to help out with a healthy discount. We have various nice follow focuses available as well at attractive pricing, but they are not part of the Group Buy. I'm partial to the ARRI FF-4.
 
Let's get crazy! What would you like to see for a FF deal?
 
Is the group buy still running and if so who do we contact to show our interest and get shipping prices for overseas etc?
