I just picked up an Arri LFF-1 follow focus at a good price and since I am using mostly 15mm rods these days, I also picked up a 19mm-15mm rod bushing from a steadicam supply place in Germany.
The problem is the tolerances are so tight that it is not very easy to slide the follow focus with the rod bushing, and having to deal with two seperate pieces is a real pain - slowing everything down considerably. Which kind of defeats the purpose of quick set ups and an otherwise very adaptable follow focus.
I wondered if anyone here has (or has even ever seen) the "Arri 15mm Rod Reducer Sleeve Set" which was originally made for it?
Would love to see an image of it if someone can provide one. Nothing on the net and even Arri can't seem to dig one up right now!
I suspect it's just a regular bushing, but who knows maybe it is something better adapted to the follow focus...
The follow focus is great, but I definitely need to find a way to make it more practical for 15mm.
