Hello,

I have an Arri Amira that a client dropped on the floor and the sensor died. It seesm like it's $14k to fix it, which I think it does not worth it.

I'd like any recommendations of companies that would buy the brain for the parts. I also have tons of accessories that I could sell (viewfinder, PL mount, top handle, baseplate etc).

Thanks.

Why is the client not paying to have this fixed or make a claim on your insurance(or theirs)?

If the VF is in good shape, you can probably unload that fairly easily. I have a friend that shoots in-house for an NFL team and they had some of their new kids that were just hired smash an Amira VF(no one believes their version of the story, because there is no way that anything Arri would have broken that easily) and they were quoted around $10K or so to replace it.

The client denied that they dropped the camera. I used to have this camera in Brazil and insurance denied to pay for the repair.
