Arri Alura 18-80 (15mm LW or 19mm)

Will the Arri Alura 18-80 work with 15mm LW rods, or do I need 19mm setup?

I use both. 19mm rods on base plate with extended Arri dovetail to support the lens and balance the camera. And 15mm rods to mount my matte box and follow focus.

It will, but only with certain matteboxes and follow focuses. You'll also probably have to cobble together an ugly universal lens support from Zacuto, or use a new-school ET LW15 support bridge with a hard to find spacer. A good combo would be an O-Box and an Arri MFF-1.

I don't know if an FF4 will fit between lens body and rods, there's only about 18mm clearance.

Front diameter on 18-80 is 134mm, an O-Box will cover.

I got the Movcam MM1 on order. It will fit the lens diameter, but just was wondering if clearance would be an issue with the lens for 15mm LW rods.
As for the follow focus, its also the movcam studio follow focus.

Looking at pictures of this lens, every camera Ive seen it being used with had a 19mm Studio setup.
I dont want to build my rig around 19mm but stick with 15mm LW as this lens will be used, but not often. It will be rented on bigger productions. Smaller productions will be on primes
