Are there any heat issues using Epic in an underwater housing in Warm water?

Doing a shoot next week with epic in an underwater housing. Air temp forecast to be 90 degrees F, water will be about 85 degrees F. A little concerned that the heat won't have anywhere to go. Any body with experience with this?

You could PM Tom Hamilton and ask him as well. He just started a thread about the Zacuto shoot out

Just shot with a Gates Deep Epic in a pool last week, temp was around 30C in the water and the camera was running most of the day and no problems. The fans were manually set to 100% and I didn't pull much of a vacuum when testing the housing to help with heat transfer.

Thanks Jon, that makes me feel better about this week.

Cheers,

Nick

No, no issues at all. Had my Epic in an Aquavideo down in Baja for a week last month. At one point, after the last dive of the day, the boat captain accidentally pushed he power button without me knowing it. The camera was on, inside the housing, for at least an hour in direct sunlight before I noticed. Stayed within limits the whole time.

Let us know if you experience anything different.
