  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Are all 4x5.6 trays the same size?

Hey all,
Are all 4x5.6 trays the same size? Meaning, would an Arri tray fit inside of an O-Box? I'm assuming not, but wondering if I would be pleasantly surprised. Reason I'm asking is that I've got an old O'Conner O'Box with one tray missing, and I'm wondering if I purchased a different company's tray if it would fit. The O-Box trays are discontinued...

No guarantees. Pretty sure Chrosziel & Arri are different thickness, so not compatible. Tray outside length & width may well also be incompatible. Only way to be sure is to accurately measure a few trays.

If you're in the US you could maybe visit one of the big cine/video retailers like B&H or Abelcine, etc, and measure them all. Then post back here as a generous input to Reduser as a new Reduser! :smile:
