I’m looking for a way copy archival material for a documentary in the field. Mostly we are copying photographs, small posters and some other memorabilia. There are also some large posters and paintings as well.

We can not take or borrow the materials so we need to copy at the location. We are debating if it is better to set up a photo stand and use a camera. Or is better to use a scanner. We could do a combination as well. We are trying to keep the gear portable. There is some travel involved so we want to keep the gear manageable for a small crew. If we do set up a stand we have a Sony a7r ii.

Does anyone have a stand that they like or a scanner?

Thanks,
Tony
