  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Aputure is shipping their new microphone: "Aputure Deity" (meant to be a competitor

Is only eye candy for me too for now! (one day it will be ear candy too....)

I own both the ME66 and the Deity, I really need to do a shoot out between my shotguns soon for my YouTube channel. But my gut feeling is the Deity sounds better, even though haven't done an A/B test yet, as I was never too hot about the ME66 sound.

An F4 is what I use, not an F8. Neither have AES.

Could use my Sound Devices 552 which has both AES input and output, but if I owned a SuperCMIT I wouldn't be using it with a 552!! I'd have already purchased a 688 by then.

Would be really interested to hear audio comparison of the two if you get the chance. Lemme know if you do that shootout, mate!
 
I think it’s interesting they spun-off into a whole company around the Deity.
I suppose that shows their commitment to keeping on with making mics though!
 
He has an accent like Alf the alien in the television serie.=)
Is there any test on it out yet?
