Apple workflow needs an update or ...

FCP on my Mac mini Silicon does not work with R3Ds.

Upgraded to FCP 11.
Downloaded Red Apple Workflow 17.1.
However it cannot be opened because Apple cannot be sure that it is not containing malware.

Who is in the wrong?

Apple or Red?

Shall I do something or just wait?

Not sure if you're hitting this as your issue based on the new chip Macs, but previously sometimes when you download an application that Apple doesn't recognize (like something not from the Apple's App Store), it will get blocked.

To unblock it, simply go to your System Preferences, then Security & Privacy. Under the tab 'General' you will see the program being blocked security wise from installing. Unlock setting and allow the installation.

Again, this might not be your issue, but if you are NEW to Macs and/or RED, this blocking does occur and is normal. Obviously RED software is safe.

Apple Support fixed the problem!

I had to go to the Security and Privacy control panel and accept to install a non-authorised developers program.

I thought that Red is an authorised developer for Apple.

Anyway, problems disappeared and I am happy again.:yesnod:
