Will be released in 60 days. Supports daisy chaining five thunderbolt peripherals.
(1) Gigabit ethernet port
(1) Firewire 800 port
(3) USB 2.0 ports

Would have been great if they added a few more Firewire 800 ports but I guess it doesn't matter with daisy chaining. USB 3.0 over Thunderbolt would have also been welcomed.... eSATA would definitely have been welcomed.

In the Apple Store... shipping in 6 to 8 weeks.

You can get one shipped by the end of the week if you order with a new Macbook Air or Mac Mini... ;)

Which means they're giving system orders priority. The new MB Air is going to sell like crazy. 11" i7 with Thunderbolt? Yes, please!

Buy one with a mini online and then return the mini. ;-)

Now to be a Debbie Downer Jeff... but the i7 is only a Dual core, can't custom build a quad core ; - (.

I'm so sorry to see complete lack of nvidia options. Yes, Open CL is available with ATI, it's just right now CUDA so much better and Mercury engine requires CUDA too. Resolve Lite on Macbook Air with TB raid enclosure is a perfect on-set kit. With the new 3 way color tab on Resolve you don't even need the control panel. But I want nVidia option!!!

i think it's funny how apple is all intel with their processors but when amd/ati with their video cards. You'd think it would just be easier for them to implement a uniform system.

Anyone know when the Resolve Lite is shipping or downloadable?

A little OT - but I love the way that they are trying to pretend that FCP X has a source and a record monitor in this pic!

HaHa... Good eye... I never spotted that.

End of the month... last time I heard.

Does Smoke use OpenCL or OpenGL? I'm judging it's not CUDA due to support of the Radeon card.

Yeah, but it's a freaking 11" sub-notebook. Can't have it all, ya know. Maybe next year... When we get the 8-core i7E chips for regular notebooks.

The majority of Intel's mobile i7 offerings are all dual-core, just sayin'

Very soon... The beta is circulating, new builds yesterday and today. Er, I mean, I don't know.

It's downloadable now, if you're beta tester. Er, I mean, I don't know:-)
And I think the new 3 way color wheels will finally make the Lite version a true portable on-set device. No need for the control panel anymore, Lite can now be used with only a touch pad or a mouse.

In the world of graphics you've got AMD and Nvidia, believe it or not Apple does like to have good hardware in their systems and intel just hasn't made a good enough graphics chipset yet.
