Here's my dilemma. First time Red user editing a short film. I used Red Rushes to transcode Red Footage. The footage, shot at 24 P was transcoded to 29.97 causing the audio to not sync up. I haven't been able to find out how to maintain the original 24P frame rate. It seems no matter what I do, Red Rushes changes it to 29.97.
So I used Cinema Tools and did a "Batch Conform" back to 24p and that appears to work pretty well. But that seemed almost too easy and I'm afraid the final image will be compromised in some way.
Am I correct in this assumption?
And one last thing. This is a short film that will be played at festivals. Should I avoid a Debayer Quality of "Quarter Res/720"??? It was originally shot 4K.
Thank you all.
