  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

"Apple Cage"

Ridiculous and juvenile. Whose 6-year-old son made that decision?

Paid $450 with shipping for one of the setups that included handles and a shoulder rig; it works great with the extra rod mounts when I need them... you do need to get the smaller top screws separate though, I found a stainless steel racing set at desmoparts.com

DL Fitch linked me up to more specific screws. If you ordered a GINI cage and it didn't come with the 4 small top screws (or you need replacements)

I ordered the 'button head' style and they work perfect. Hey, a part for my RED that costs 20 cents! BOOYAH!

I ordered a simple hand held rig from them with a follow focus. It will arrive this Friday. After reading this post it was worth a try. I'll report back when I get it

My friend has one on his epic, it's nice. Not a fan of the gap in the back where the exhaust is. But the ribs are the nicest part of the cage. But I would still go with WC or RED for a cage.

Jon - if I understand what you are saying, have him try turning the plate 180 degrees around the other way - I think he has it on backwards. I had the same issue but when I turned it around it fits perfectly.

Just so you guys know if you're on the fence of buying a cage from him, he's since upgraded his cage with NATO profiling on the ribs, and he's opted for flatter sides for 1/4 20" mounting holes. All around a better, sturdier and more functional design.

Makes me regret being a 1st generation owner with any of Gini's stuff.

Any suggestions as to where we can find the new ribs? Can't tell from the Gini site.
