Anyone using the Canon EOS-M camera? Maybe as a directors viewfinder

Hmm. So I am tempted by this seemingly liquidation of the Canon EOS-M camera. At $299 it seems like a bargain. Obviously it is not a substitute for a professional camera but as something to take with you every where. What do you all think of using this as a directors viewfinder. With 1.6x crop it should be close to Scarlet at 4K.
