  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Anyone using Cinebags?

I have the old version of the High Roller and works great for all my accessories(batteries/woodencamera stuff etc).
You can configure the foam compartments inside yourself with the supplied inserts-i just dont know how comfortable i would feel with the camera body in there even though it has a hard plastic bottom so i went with Pelican.
Great looking bag though and tough as nails.

Hope this helps.

I own a Revolution Cinebags. I can fit my Scarlet with side handle and Lcd touch, 4-redvolts pack, two travel chargers, a/c adapter, redstation with 2 redmags and a 24-70mm canon zoom lens. In the outside pockets i have my rode Ntg-2 shotgun mic with shockmount, xlr cable and still have two extra pockets left and a laptop pouch. If you are not walking long distances with it, it´s manageable.

Can you use it as a carry on for airlines? Will is fit under the seat in a worst case scenario if your on a puddle jumper?

I travel a lot with my Cinebags backpack. Sometimes they try to tell you it´s too big to bring it as a carry on, but I explain that it matches the regulation size. I try not to fill the outside pockets at all when I travel by air, so it can fit well in the cabinets. If you can fit the backpack in there, it´s pretty much alright in any other scenario.

I've had good success with the older style Cinebag that's like High Roller. Still working well.

My Revolution backpack has great features (laptop sleeve, back panel loading [equipment safe from thieves], can hold a RED1 camera--fits on an airplane) but it has not held up -- blown zipper, blown stitching, ripped webbing... Its got great features but I think you want to avoid over-weighting it. I used it primarily with a RED 1 setup which weights considerable more than an Epic setup... And mine was one of the very first that they made...they've gone through some form of revision since then so the current version may be tougher.

We have been using the revolution backpack CB25 for over a year now for our Epic-M. We love it!!! We are able to put accessories and two canon lenses along with IDX and Redvolt batteries all in the main compartment. Highly recommended.

I love my CB-25B! I can fit everything I need for a shoot in there!

Right now this is what I travel with / carry on: In an older style generic soft camera bag I have the Scarlet with side handle and monitor attached (monitor flipped down with padding to protect screen) and top handle. A grid 5.0 loupe (which I recommend for the price) 9 inch rods, power supply, 4 pack of ssds, 3 travel chargers, and 9 redvolts. All of my other sensitive gear is in Tamrac Expedition 7x. In there is a macbook, 2 small external drives, Canon 24-70, Canon 70-200, Tokina 11-16, Rokinon 35mm, and Zeiss 50mm. I also have a small follow focus, Canon dslr body and redmag station. There are also other small cables and accessories and some filters. Basically a bunch of stuff that gets really heavy with a backpack bag and a shoulder strap bag. That's why I was looking at the high roller and the lens smuggler, but I'm worried that a) not everything will fit in and b) I won't be able to carry both on like I am now.

I love my cinebags. I use it as a checked bag with all my gear in a pelican. But in the field, I put my built scarlet and accs in the cinebags and travel with that.

I have the revolution digi-camo backpack.

The CB-25 holds a good amount of gear, but it can really heavy especially once you put a laptop in there.

I've been using the Revolution for a while now. It was held up to a lot of abuse, and I'm always impressed by what I can fit inside it.
Highly recommend it.

As others have said though, when you fill it up, it gets very heavy. But what bag wouldn't...

True, but with a backpack that is extra heavy you open yourself up to a lot of back pain. Which really really REALLY sucks.
