  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Anyone try the new Paralinx Ace SDI Wireless yet?

Im on a series now with the ACE and its been practically flawless the whole show. Dropped once on the beach for some reason that didn't make sense as it was line-of-sight and not that far away but a quick power cycle and it was back up and running no problem. Battery life is great on the receiver using the sony battery plate too.
 
Anyone tried Paralinx Ace on a gimbal like Movi Pro? I'm curious about signal when Ace doesn't have the antennas and it's surrounded by carbon and aluminium. Thanks
 
i own that setup and it's fine. as long as your puller is in transmission distance. i mount it on my offhollywood aks side mount.
Also if you want you can just put it on the back bar with a pop & lock.
 
no but as long as it's "open" it's fine.
Ive tried mounting on side, and also arm and didn't have any reasonable issues.
However if you're going to be in a place of high interference. You'll need a stronger rx, tx

Back from a 2 day shoot inside a very hot and humid brewery and the Ace worked perfectly the whole time on the gimbal and directly on the Red. Probably didn't have the receiver any further than 10m from the trasmitter though.
