If you use subclips or nested sequences, it make an unusable XML and unusable EDL (puts subclip name in file, not clip name with relevant timecodes.) This really needs to be fixed! Has anyone found a work-around?

But... It would be possible to just translate those nested sequences into a series of cuts referring to a series of clips on the drives. I mean if you play back the parent sequence, that is what PPro will do in real time - nested or not, it's just one clip piece after another as an end result. Crossfades and that - fine - but straight cuts, whether derived from nested sequences, subclips or any other form of presentation are just a series of pointers to files on drives - surely translatable to a (correct) series of lines of text on an XML or EDL export.
Who cares if its nested - I don't need the nests or the layers to be preserved, just the "edit event list" they describe
In the past other systems may not have offered this, but in the past off-line and on-line were much more separate and done by much more invariably different people.
The Resolve manual states that the software will not import nested sequences. It does import multiple tracks pretty smoothly out of FCP (I have no idea how many it will do). If I could get it working as nicely with PP as it does with FCP I'd be damn happy. Adobe has said they're working on this... so hopefully soon.
Dave, that's the best thing I've seen since Epic bits started hitting the Red Store. I won't be happy with my workflow until I have Premier <-> Resolve integration.
