Looking for a RED One MX with a basic ready-to-shoot kit.

Thanks!

Ryan

I’m selling one in mint condition with very low hours (approx 125hr).

I’ll send you a message with more details when I can.

Cheers!

Red One MX... the MILF of the camera world.
It has indeed aged well over the years.

Have to admit, I'm surprised by some of the demand for what is a 14 year old camera model (depending on how you count the years).

Mine is about to turn 13 years old and I'm still working gigs with it (though 2 Komodos on order should hopefully lighten that load).

Glad to see the continued interest in the model that started it for RED and enhanced the careers for many of us.

Hope you find one Ryan.

Hey Brian!

I've been shocked seeing packages for around $3,000. It's a no-brainer!

Everyone's complaints with it seem mostly to be the weight - I also own an FS7, so it's basically the same. The fact I can get a RED for less than my FS7 is insane.

The other "issue" I see is battery life- is that just with the RED batteries? I would be using V-mount

Thanks for your response!

A big part of the weight is based on the lenses you use and how you balance (minimally front or back heavy) your camera config.
I do think an FS 7 balances easier but you can get a R1 to balance relativity well.

Cinema lenses are typically going to add a lot more weight than still lenses.

Regarding batteries, you can find some higher watt per hour V mount batteries that are
pretty affordable.

You can get over 2 hours with these.

Just be careful flying with these as they are Lithium Ion and too high capacity to be allowed on flights.

Can these batteries be charged vis the RED v-mount charger?

Awesome, Thanks for that Brian!

Hey Steve,

Yes they do. I've had these batteries over a year and have charged them multiple times with my original RED v-mount charger.

Awesome, Thanks for that Brian!

No problem Ryan. There are also some 300 w/hr batteries floating around but I never actually used them.
