Anyone seen a Frame Thrower?

[Gunleik Groven]

Somewhere on the NAB floor, I guess would be a good place to start looking for one.

[Reuben Evans]

Nothing so far.

[Chase M. Wrenn]

Was it supposed to be announced as a product at NAB? Was it something RED was going to announce, or NVIDIA, etc?

[Jeffery Anderson]

yeah Jarred released photos on Facebook of it... maybe it's still top secret

[Jeffery Anderson]

on a side note, Arri released a printer...

Arri will make amazing printers. People will print 1440 dpi pictures on competing Canon and Epson products, but the Arri printer owner will throw up all manner of observations as to why their 720dpi print is 'visually better'. When the argument comes to loggerheads over barely discernible details, the Arri printer owner will simply cast you aside as a "heathen" who is simply not professional or aesthetic enough to appreciate why the Arri print is better.

[Jeffery Anderson]

printer is rental only...

Arri makes a good camera. I'd imagine a lot of the favorably is the simplicity of the camera... red seems to figuring out how to make a lot this more user friendly and favorable...

[Brian Merlen]

Yes, you are right! I am fine with red but compared to Arri it's much more difficult like Alexa is point n shoot no black shades no olpfs no goal posts stop lights and the system just intimidates vs the point n shoot simplicity of Alexa
